Although many countries produce other types of salts, such as baking salt and fish salt, the bulk of the salt used is table salt. This predominantly occurs in the Western world with India and China accounting for the bulk of the world’s salt production. It is estimated that the salt market will continue to grow as world trade continues to grow, creating more markets for the salt globally.
