The town of Silverthorne, Colorado, is a home rule municipality in Summit County. As of the 2010 Census, the town has a population of 3,887. There are many activities and attractions that visitors can enjoy. You can hike up Ptarmigan Peak, go mountain biking at Keystone, or visit Rainbow Park.

Lake Dillon

Lake Dillon, sometimes referred to as Dillon Reservoir, is a large body of water in Summit County, Colorado. It borders the towns of Dillon and Silverthorne and is a reservoir for the city of Denver. The Denver Water Company manages the lake.

The town is a great place for families with kids to take advantage of its numerous amenities. There is a Silverthorne Recreation Center with a 65,000 square-foot space that offers a variety of activities. It offers four pools with three water slides and an indoor gym with weights and cardio equipment. The center also has a sauna and steam room.

Another fun activity is boating on Lake Dillon. You can rent pontoon boats, kayaks, or waterskis. There is also a water taxi that runs between the marinas. A bicycle ride around the lake is also a great way to relax. A Disc Golf course is also near the water, and there is even a kid’s course.

Rainbow Park

If you are looking for a great park in Silverthorne, look no further than Rainbow Park on Rainbow Drive. This seven-acre park offers a variety of activities for children of all ages. It features a skate park, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, and playing fields. There are also restrooms and picnic tables located within the park. Trent Park is also located nearby.

While Keystone is not a popular downhill biking resort, there are trails for all levels of riders, and the scenery is stunning. The lift system allows easy access to the mountain, but you can also bike up to the top yourself. Jackstraw Road is a rocky, wide dirt road that is approximately a two-hour ride from Keystone.

The Keystone Bike Park is home to some of the country’s most challenging downhill trails. Trails here include berms and bridges, and beginner and expert downhill challenges. The park also features more than 100 miles of single-track and a skill park.

Sunshine Cafe Restaurant
